Generation Rent

The number of households living in private rented accommodation across the UK has more than doubled since the turn of the millennium. A fifth of households across the UK now privately rent, the figure rising to a third for Generation Rent households (aged 25-34).

Although 55% of private renters expect to purchase a property at some point in the future, over 40% don’t expect to purchase for at least the next five years.
