Things to Do in and Around Brookwood

Although technically in neighbouring Knaphill, Brookwood Country Park is a popular haunt for many of Brookwood’s residents. Whether pooch needs a walk, you fancy a cycle, or want to indulge in a picnic, the park has ample parking. There are also a couple of football pitches should you fancy a kick about!

Next door to Brookwood is the village of Bisley. There is a Clay Pigeon Shooting ground located there and is a popular day out for many around Surrey. From newbies to veterans, the centre can accommodate all.

 

Transport in Brookwood

Brookwood has its own station with trains sitting on the South Western main line. The majority of services travel from Brookwood to London Waterloo, Basingstoke and Alton. Trains into the city during off-peak hours take around 40 minutes. However, passengers can change at Woking to hop on a faster service. All rush hour trains to and from Brookwood aren’t stopping services.

Brookwood is just a 10-minute drive from Woking town centre outside of peak hours. You can also head down the A322 or A320 to head into Guildford, which is a very popular location for shopping or a night out.

There are also a number of bus routes running through Brookwood, with most stops on the A324. Destinations include Guildford (28), Woking (28, 48, 91), Frimley (48)m Knaphill (91) and Pirbright (690).
