The village of Bisley is nestled in the borough of Surrey Heath. The western areas are dominated by heathland, much of which is owned and used by the Ministry of Defence and noted for its rifle shooting ranges. This, amongst other associations and buildings, is located in The National Shooting Centre.

All things artillery aside, Bisley is an idyllic countryside village made of up family-run businesses and period homes. Despite its size, Bisley has a lot to offer. From fantastic schools and a local football team, to clay pigeon shooting and its location; just a stone’s throw from Woking, it is not hard to understand why the location is so desirable.

The only school directly located in Bisley itself is Bisley CofE Primary School. It is a co-education primary school for children aged five through to 11. During its latest Ofsted inspection, the school retained its previous ranking as a ‘good’ school.

Just a 20-minute walk from Bisley, or a quick whizz in the car, is the highly regarded Gordon’s School. It is a popular non-selective state boarding school that was established in 1885 at the bidding of Queen Victoria. It caters for children aged 12 to 18 as it is complete with a sixth form.

Public Transport in Bisley
Bisley is 10 miles north of Guildford on the A322 and Woking town centre is just a 10-minute drive away in good traffic. Alternatively, the 34 bus run by Arriva travels from Bisley to Guildford via Sutton Green, Woking and Knaphill. In the opposite direction, the bus terminates in Bagshot.

Bisley doesn’t have its own train station. Luckily, the nearest is just a couple of miles away in Brookwood. This station sits on the South Western main line and provides services to London Waterloo, Basingstoke and Alton.
