Farnborough was originally a small town in England, south west of London with some fine mid-19th Century buildings. The town is the home of St. Michael’s Abbey. The Imperial Crypt there is the resting place of Napoleon III (1808–1873), Emperor of France, his wife, Eugénie de Montijo, (1826–1920)] and their son, Napoléon, Prince Imperial. The Abbey was the home of the Catholic National Library from 2007 until it was relocated to Durham University Library in 2015.
The recent Town Centre rejuvenation has make the shopping area and somewhere to have a bite to eat more appealing. On the other hand North Camp hosts older shops and a Village feel about it. Farnborough hosts a weekly market in the town square and every Sunday there is a popular car boot sale in Pinehurst Car Park. Farnborough also has a variety of restaurants and pubs catering for different tastes such as Indian, Chinese and Spanish as well as traditional pub favourites.
Offering good commuting and transport links by a main line station, where you can get an express train to Waterloo in 34 minutes. Coupled with the addition of Farnborough North and North Camp Station leading you Reading or Gatwick bound. A331 and M3 access via 4/4a ensures further towns are easily accessible.
As you would expect, Farnborough has a fantastic selection of schools including Cove Infant and Junior, St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School, Cove Secondary School, Farnborough Hill Private School and the sought after Farnborough College.
